Roofs in Dicky Beach: what we see and what we do
Dicky Beach, named for the shipwreck that sat on the sand until 2015, is a quiet grid of 1960s to 1980s beach houses between the holiday park and Moffat Headland. The dominant roof is concrete tile on a low-pitched brick home, often with the original 1980s colour now bleached to grey. A few terracotta roofs from earlier decades survive, and the rebuilds along Beerburrum Street and the esplanade tend to be Colorbond.
