Roofs in Baringa: what we see and what we do
Baringa was the first suburb of the Aura development, released in 2016, and its 4,604 residents live in some of the newest housing on the coast. Roofs are mostly Colorbond and flat-profile concrete tile on compact single and two-storey homes with low pitches and long, straight ridge lines. Nothing here is old enough to need a full restoration, but builder-grade pointing and gutters do not always last.
Baringa is four to six kilometres from the surf in the C3 coastal band of AS 4312, and the open, flat estate layout leaves roofs exposed to wind and summer storms.
