Roofs in Cooroibah: what we see and what we do
Cooroibah is bush acreage north-west of Tewantin, running down to Lake Cooroibah and the upper Noosa River. The blocks were subdivided from the 1980s and carry a mix of that era's brick homes with concrete tiles, larger Colorbond houses, and architect-designed homes with low-pitch metal roofs set among the trees. Rainwater tanks and sheds are standard. Most of the 1980s and 90s tile roofs here have had nothing done since the day they went on.
At five to ten kilometres from the surf the area sits in the C3 coastal band of the AS 4312 corrosivity guide, so salt is slow but present.
